First Google's Android Smartphone Will Be Announced

Finally the first Google’s Android smartphone will be announced on a press conference on Tuesday September 23th, 2008 by T-mobile USA, the fourth placed wireless operator in USA after AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint Nextel Corp. 

This smartphone manufactured by High Tech Computer (HTC) Corporation of Taiwan. The phone that called HTC Dream or G1 has a touch screen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and a 3-megapixel camera. The smartphone will also support 3G services, and Google software and services like Gmail will be tightly integrated into the device too.

Android is a software platform and operating system for mobile devices based on the Linux operating system developed by Google and later the Open Handset Alliance. It allows developers to write managed code in a Java-like language that utilizes Google-developed Java libraries, but does not support programs developed in native code.

The unveiling of the Android platform was announced on 5 November 2007 with the founding of the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 34 hardware, software, and telecom companies which include Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm, T-Mobile, Sprint Nextel and NVIDIA. They devoted to advancing open standards for mobile devices. Google has pledged to make most of the Android platform available under the Apache free-software and open-source license, once it is released in 2008.

Buying Notebooks Tips

Nowadays a notebook is not a luxurious matter any more, but have been a need for every one. there are kinds of notebook with various brand, feature and price that available on the market. Some of us still confused which notebook to be bought.

There are some simple tips in buying notebook that we have to consider of. Some of that is as follows :

1. Choose a notebook with feature that accommodate our requirement
That is very important to buy a notebook that match with our requirement, whether for office application, game, graphical design, picture / video editing, or else. If we buy a notebook with feature that exceed from our requirement we will just spend our money for the feature that we don’t use. It’s better use the money for other needs.

2. Buy notebook according to our budget
This is important to buy notebook according to our budget especially for whom with a limited budget.

3. Select a notebook from a wellknown brands
We need to choose a notebook from a wellknown brands according to the quality of the notebook and their after sales services. A wellknown brand usually have a better quality of notebook and a better after sales services.

4. Pay attention especially on the keyboard, touch pad, display, and battery.
After choose notebook from a wellknown brand, it’s better to choose a notebook with a full size keyboard with a comfortable keys, availability of media control buttons is a plus. The touch pad is better if large enough for comfortability on operation. The display with 1,024x600 resolution is a minimum specification. We better choose a notebook with a long life battery (usually 6 cell) with 3 hours long life at minimum, to support our outdoors activities and also to awake when electrics extinction occurs.
